Kona, a brand born in the Pacific Northwest in 1988, has infused the Libre with their signature "adventure-first" geometry, featuring a taller head tube and a slightly more upright stance to reduce fatigue during multi-day bikepacking trips or grueling gravel races. The "CR/DL" designation represents the top-tier carbon layup in the Libre family, utilizing Kona Race Light Carbon for an incredibly responsive and lightweight ride.

The drivetrain is powered by the flagship Shimano GRX 810 series, specifically designed for gravel with a clutch-equipped rear derailleur to prevent chain slap on rough terrain.
